Planning, Skills and execution





If you are having trouble sleeping, you need to make sure you are addressing each of these 3 areas. To do this we need to manipulate:

  1. Brain (mind)
  2. Autonomic nervous system
  3. Environment (anything external to ourselves)
  4. Chemicals in the body.


Everything can be simplified to this framework



This might come across as an oversimplification of sleep but once you have done the training, you will understand that this framework is all you need to consider when planning for sleep, making choices and winding down. Snoring, exercise and diet all fit into this framework and it is up to you to implement. Once you know, it is your responsibility to make changes. Getting to sleep isn't an accident, it is a result of processes.
